Introducing our President for
Biennium 2016/18
I grew up on the Central Coast of NSW and moved to Bunbury 23 years ago after marrying a Bunbury Boy. I have three beautiful Children. Kate is following in my footsteps, marrying young, is engaged to a Bunbury Boy and training as a dental nurse. Tom is in his first year of Uni studying commerce and business law. He has just had his last exam for the semester. Beth, my youngest at 15 is in year 10 at BCGS and heading to Cambodia on a service trip. Another Zontian in the making.
My husband Kevin and I own and manage K&K Electrical Services, an Industrial Electrical Company and if anyone asks, I’m the first K.
I am passionate about a few things. Being a good mother, wife, daughter, sister and Aunt, and in looking after myself, am very passionate about my sport of rowing. I have competed at the World Masters Games in Italy, three National regattas and after a short break, will start training for the next World Masters Games to be held in New Zealand in May 2017.
Last but definitely not least, I’m passionate about helping others – which led me to Zonta. One of my mantras as my children will tell you, and they have heard it many times has been “never look down on anyone unless you’re helping them up” and “life is short, enjoy what you do”.
On that note, I will be passionate, I will enjoy and I will do the best I can as your president for the next biennium. Kimberley Robbins, President

May Guest Speaker
David Bailey, Chairman of the Board - InTown Centre, Western Front researcher and photo journalist, gave a very interesting talk in two parts around his role with the InTown Centre (ITC), and on his research and photography regarding the First World War. The ITC is a not-for–profit organisation that provides around 250 meals per week to the disadvantaged in Bunbury, as well as providing free tea, coffee and toast in the morning.
The second part of his talk concerned his 6 month research into the Western Front last year, with emphasis on the 2,300 men from the Bunbury Wellington area who enlisted in WW1. He is seeking stories - if you have a story you think David may be interested in please contact him via his website. www.historyimprint.com

"Publicity is everyone's responsibility "
The PR and Communications committee believe all members can promote the Zonta Club of Bunbury.
To make this a reality, each month we would like all club members to be involved in a small task to promote what we do in Zonta and highlight the value of our work in the wider community.
First task: each member was asked to distribute four copies of the club brochure to prospective members or people who are just generally interested in learning about what Zonta stands for. See Club Brochure here
