Hello Upper Mississippi Academy and Welcome to Summer!
It has been just about two weeks since we had students on campus for the last fun days of the year.

We've been working hard to close out one year and to get ready for the next. I know that report cards have gone out with the reminder to please bring in your pieces of technology that were borrowed from the school over the course of the year.  We want them to be cleaned and updated and ready for us to be on site and on campus in the fall.  So, if you still have the technology pieces at home or if you have language arts books or other kinds of resource books please bring those into the school so that we can get them out of your way.

We want to let you know we've been preparing and ordering all types of items.  The cafeteria tables are ordered and they will be here mid-August and we will be having lunch in the Capitol View room. Materials for science, art and math and Club activities have been requested. Orders are starting to go in for all kinds of things to get us into our learning and get us into our hands on and community activities this fall.

Please take time to rest and to reflect this summer and also know that summer is a time for learning that is very different from anything else we get to do here at school during the year.  We are excited to hear about how that has expanded you and broadened your experience.  We look forward to hearing what kind of learning you are bringing into us in the fall.

Thank you so much, you can reach me over the summer here at school either by email or on my school cell phone at 651-285-5586.  You can also reach Amy Elverum on her email or her cell phone 612-730-2694 and you can also call the main office or get a hold of us on at email address.

Thank you and enjoy the sunshine.
