The sun is shining and we are looking forward to the year ahead!

We have had a wonderful response to the Goodhand Glass competition which led to a great turn out for the private view and of course a superb exhibition.  There is still time to come and see it, spend time in the attic gallery and vote for your top three favourite pieces.  Voting ends on April 20th.

Judging will take place on April 21st.  Please join us in the gallery to celebrate the winner at 7 pm.

This month we welcome.....

Jane Davies Mosaics

I’m a self taught mosaic artist and my work is created from found discarded and recycled ceramics. Most of my  pieces contain a deliberate mix of both  contemporary and traditional/vintage materials and I really enjoy the way in which beautiful pieces of broken china can be used to create something completely new!.

I have exhibited both locally and nationally (Bath, Hay-on-Wye and London) and currently sell my work in Bristol. I also accept private commissions.

Ewa Zarniecka

I’m a professional artist since coming to London ( from Poland) in 2002 consider myself as self-taught.

My style is something between abstract and Impressionism. I’ve always been been drawn to strong, rich colours. It sounds silly, but I like it when the painting screams. I’ve always heard paintings as sounds and seen sounds and paintings. And listening to emotional music is often the starting point for many of my pieces.Depth is a characteristic of much of my work. I tend to paint in layers, and the build up of these layers helps give the impression of depth. As well as using thick oils and palette knifes adding to the rich texture.
