Dear <<First Name>>,

This week is World Refugee Week – a time when I’m reminded how important it is to ensure that health is a human right.

As the lead case manager at Doctors for Refugees, I look after the volunteer medical team. It’s a demanding role, but one I couldn’t be more proud of knowing just how vital our work is.

It’s because of our incredible network of doctors, nurses and advocates, and thanks supporters like you <<First Name>>, that we’ve achieved some truly lifesaving outcomes for refugees on Manus and Nauru.

Right now, we're working as hard as we possibly can to get the people still trapped there the medical attention and care they desperately need.

But we’re receiving more medical cases every day – more than we can handle.

My biggest worry is that we won’t be able to keep up with the demand as the healthcare crisis escalates. I don’t want my team to burn out, or to fall behind.

This is where you can help.

We urgently need your support to put a medical caseworker on call 24/7. This means an experienced doctor can be on call for emergencies and provide ongoing support for refugee health problems.

You can make a tax-deductible donation to our urgent appeal today by visiting our fundraising page here. It’s so quick and easy.

Your support will mean so much this Refugee Week, <<First Name>>. It will mean we can be there for those on Manus and Nauru when they need it the most.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Paddy McLisky
