Hi everyone. A very quick update:

LOOMING LOW VOLUME I has been sent to the printer. I am both excited and terrified. As a reminder, it will initially be available in two editions, a limited Deluxe Hardcover and a general-release Trade Paperback. For now, the only way to order a copy of either is through the Dim Shores web store. The Trade Paperback will eventually show up on Amazon etc., probably sometime in late September, and there will be an e-book version around that time too.

RESIST AND REFUSE #1 is still coming. I hope to have copies in hand and ready to ship during the first week of August. This is the first project like this I’ve attempted to do myself and I am learning a lot as I go. Future issues will hopefully be more timely.

THE POLITE ONES (Cody Goodfellow, Marcelo Gallegos) is in stock and shipping. This is a gripping dark fantasy that takes place in a strange subterranean society of decaying clans and masks, accompanied by pitch-perfect art.

PALLADIUM AT NIGHT (Christopher Slatsky, Dave Felton) continues to collect rave reviews, always nice to see. There are 12 copies left in the web store, and I will have another 10 copies with me at…

I will also have 10 copies each of these three sold-out chapbooks available at NecronomiCon Providence 2017 (August 17-20): THE XIPÉHUZ (J.-H. Rosny aîné, Scott Nicolay, Michael Bukowski); THE TIRED SOUNDS, A WAKE (Michael Wehunt, Justine Jones); and AN IDEAL RETREAT (Michael Griffin, Mikio Murakami).

There will be readings and a book launch for LOOMING LOW VOLUME I at the convention. Nadia Bulkin, Michael Cisco, Michael Griffin, Livia Llewellyn, Anya Martin, and Michael Wehunt have agreed to read. I will see if the readings can be recorded for those not attending.

In one last bit of NecronomiCon news, the programming committee is apparently suffering from some kind of shared brain fever as they have placed me on a panel. “The Future of Weird Fiction and NecronomiCon-PVD” will be moderated by s.j. bagley, and will find me somehow sitting with legendary editor Ellen Datlow, acclaimed author Ruthanna Emrys (WINTER TIDE), and accomplished author, editor, and publisher Michael Kelly (Undertow Publications). I know, I was confused too. You can see the full NecronomiCon schedule of events here.

As a reminder, folks in the UK and EU can obtain Dim Shores publications from my friend Paul. He buys 10 copies of everything and acts as a mini-distributor for the region. If you would like to get in touch with Paul, please contact me.

I would love to set something like this up in Canada and Australia/New Zealand. If you live in either region and are interested in being the mini-distributor and/or a customer of same, please contact me.

I have been, and will continue to be, completely wrapped up in projects related to NecronomiCon. (I’m doing the layout for the convention memento book too.) I’m not on social media very much right now. If you want to get in touch with me, the best way is an email to sam at dimshores dot com. After the convention I’ll go right into LOOMING LOW VOLUME I order fulfillment. After that I will be able to breathe a little and will schedule release dates for COFFLE (Gemma Files, Stephen Wilson), CURSES (Anna Tambour, Nick Gucker), and PWDRE SER (Kurt Fawver, TBA).

As always, thank you for your support.

Take care,
