Thought of the Month
Numbers 11:16 But now our soul is dried away: There is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.
In the passage above, God had been sending Manna from heaven to feed the children of Israel. You would think that they would remain in awe of how God kept raining down this special heavenly delicacy that was able to feed thousands and thousands of people. But after a while it just became commonplace, even boring. Every morning they would witness God's miraculous provision right before their very eyes, yet they wanted something else, something better!
At times, even we can get accustomed to our blessings so quickly, can't we?
Emerson said that if the stars came out only once a year, everybody would stay up all night to behold them. But we have seen the stars so often that we don't even bother to look anymore!
Let's be sure not to take God's provisions lightly though we see them on a daily basis!
Prayer Requests
We pray for all our members, friends and family having health issues.
We pray for peace in the world.
We pray for the people of Ukraine.
We pray for all of our members and families that have lost a loved one.
We pray that we may love as Jesus taught us all the year through.
If you have someone to add to the prayer requests, contact Paul Isaacson (pisaac0128@yahoo.com or 262-628-3749) or Sue Rogahn (suerogahn@gmail.com or 262-628-2022).
Food Drive
Our next food drive runs from July 3 to August 7. The food pantry is in greatest need of baked beans, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, and cereal. If you prefer to give a cash donation, please make out the check to St. Boniface/St. Gabriel Food Pantry and in the memo line indicate this is from St. Jacobi. Of course you can always use a scrip card to donate too.
School Supply Drive
For our Annual School Supply Drive this year we are working with Erin Isaacson and the staff at Valley View Elementary School in Menomonee Falls to see what items the students and teachers will need the most.
