This is the last newsletter of this academic year! The summer holidays and a well earned rest are now in sight so I hope you are all getting out in your grounds and other green spaces and enjoying the summer weather for the next couple of weeks.

There are now two dates arranged for the new academic year for you to look forward to. The first session will be a chance to reflect about where you are with your outdoor learning and plan for the year ahead. This will be held at Marpool Primary School. The first full day CPD will be at Withycombe Raleigh, looking at how Forest School activities can be used for outdoor learning. Please do get in touch with anything specific that you would like to cover. See below for details.

Finally, a few last jobs before the holidays:
  • If you have any outstanding invoices to get in for your school's green grant or training then please do get them in as soon as possible.
  • Please do complete the mid-project survey (one per school - headteachers will have already received an email about this) by following the link below.

Changes in staff
Meg Knowles will be back from maternity leave in September and so back in the helm of the project, and will again become the main contact. I finish in August, and in the transition period, if you have any queries, please do contact Tim Dafforn on the email link as below or through education@eastdevon.gov.uk

I have really enjoyed working on this project for the last year, and meeting you all. I wish you all the best for your projects and will hopefully see you in the outdoors somewhere in the future.

Kind regards,
Alex
