A Little Chicken

Hi Farm Friends,

When I ran a farmers market, I used to joke that the perfect length of a market is long enough for a farmer socialize with everyone, and just long enough to make them sick of people again, and want to go back to the farm for the week. I do two markets on the weekend, Saturday in St Pete, and Sunday at Meacham, and I could talk farming all week. My jaw muscles get a little sore, and I try not to smile all dang day (that'll really wear you out). But it's such a positive interaction, talking up the good things happening. Really, there's no downsides to speak of, so it's a fun conversation.

I'm not sure where I was going with that, other than to say you should come to a market this weekend. It's beautiful weather, and we need you to get the farmers sick of civilization so they'll be happy alone on the farm. Smiley-face.

A small handful of chicken is available this week, fresh. Then it'll be three more weeks until more. Sorry, it's tough raising and processing them during turkey season. We've got lots of chicken planned for the winter and spring, and we'll keep you stocked and happy. I'll put some up whole chickens up in the store this evening, Tuesday, at 8pm.

What's in Travis' Car Right Now?

Week two, I'm sticking with it.
