The Good, the Bad and the Good

Hi Farm Friends,

We'll start with some good. As I've mentioned before, Meacham Urban Farm is now open on weekends, and the store is chock-full of organic produce and our meats and eggs. It's a great farmstand, and we're awful proud of it. Starting this weekend, we will accept SNAP/EBT, and better yet, we'll have the Fresh Access Bucks program to double your EBT dollars with fruits and veggies. This is the coolest program. I helped bring it to the Temple Terrace Farmers Market years ago, and I'm glad to be a big part of it again. Come check it out this weekend!

For a little bad, I won't be setting up at St Pete's Saturday Morning Market this weekend. Your boy got confused, he thought the Grand Prix race was this weekend, so he offered his services to another project on Saturday. Well, it turns out the race was postponed until late April, and I just found this out. So no me at the market this week. I'm pretty sure this is the first market day we've missed, out of any market we've done over the past four or five years. I promise not to make it a habit.

But! Back to that good: We will still be delivering in Pinellas later Saturday afternoon, and we'll still have drive-through pickup outside of the market, 9 to 9:30am. The market's online arm has graciously offered to distribute our orders this weekend. They are too kind, really, and we are going to take them up on it. If you order for Saturday pickup, I'll email you with details. But it's still drive-through, and it should be pretty easy.

And one more good: More Pork this week! All the cuts will be back in stock, plus some super thick pork chops, a few loin roasts, and (wait for it...), spicy Italian sausages! We are excited for that sausage over here at TrailBale home house.

And, if you missed this last week, I'll reiterate it, because I think it's neat:
TrailBale Farm Pickup
It's now fully self-serve! Place your order by Friday mid-day, and I'll pack it in a bag, write your name on it, and have it waiting for you in the Farm Store! Pickup hours are every day 10am to 5pm, and even that's flexible. This is a great honor-system way of doing it. I'm sorry I may miss you, but we'll catch up soon. Note: the webstore lists Saturday, Sunday and Monday as options. I can't figure out how to allow you to just order and pickup when you like, so pick a random day. It'll be there from Saturday on out.
As always, the online store inventory will be updated Tuesday at 8pm.

Here's how we are getting it out this week:
Saturday:
St Pete Market Pickup-Only Drive-Thru.

You can order from other farms as well, and the Market has an online store for even more vendors. Now on the side of the big market, along 1st St. Stay in the car lane and you'll see me.
