Happy October Bluegrass Music Lovers. 

Cooler temperatures, shorter days and fall colors are here. That means it's a great time to get together with friends for some picking. 

Here is a list of events we know about coming up in October.

The IBA continues to sponsor several weekly and monthly jams. Check the website for dates, times and location.

 Reminder to sign up for the IBA sponsored workshop November 3rd entitled "Be your best performer." The instructors for the workshop will be Becky Blake and Gary Eller.  Registration is only $25 for a full day of instruction with two great performers and teachers. Enrollment for Weiser Music Camp for guitar, fiddle, and mandolin is now open. This will be a four day workshop on May 2-5,2019 with nationally known instructors and limited to 25 students per group. Treasure Valley Bluegrass Night sponsored  by the ISBA is Friday October 19th The Railroad Men and False Bottom String Band will be performing.

I hope you are still reading because here is some fabulous news. The local luthier and good friend to the IBA, Mike Murray, has made an extremely generous donation. He has pledged his next custom, hand-crafted dreadnought style guitar with top rate materials to the IBA. This guitar is currently in production and is expected to be finished within the next month or so. We hope to auction the guitar online before the Christmas holiday. What a great gift this would make for yourself or your sweetie under the tree. Stay tuned for details.
