Heather Sellers of Dragonfly Lampworks crafts some amazing glass beads, including guinea pig beads! Heather donates most of her beads via giving works programs such as Beads of Courage, providing arts-in-medicine for children with serious illness, and various animal rescue organizations. California Bay area North Star Rescue currently has Heather's Roomba-riding shark guinea pig (!) and a beautiful carrot pendant necklace up for auction, but you must grab them before September 10th!
Heather teaches weekly classes and workshops at the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona. Follow Heather on Facebook for information on beads for sale, or buy a 2017 Kooter and Friends limited edition calendar!

Sarah, like most of us, takes a lot of photos of her guinea pigs. In fact, she takes so many photos and videos that her friends convinced her to start a Facebook page!
With over 100,000 views and counting, this adorable watermelon video has introduced these cute -and hungry- guinea pigs to the world. "I am a bit overwhelmed how many people shared and watched it, it really blew up! ... I am so happy that so many people like it," Sarah told me when I requested to feature her pigs on CavyMadness. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing!

Does your guinea pig go nuts when you refill the hay rack? Boadicea is entertaining with her filling-the-racks antics in "Anticipation" (September 3), and in "Wedgwood Update" (August 31), we see the slightly-neurotic new kid's personality begin to emerge as she hits the three-month mark.
"Crafts, Cavies, and Cooking" is CavyMadness' partner-blog, by the hilarious and talented Sally Hurley.
