Upcoming Event: Fish Out of Water

Join us this Thursday December 22nd at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 for a Family Fun Day

School's out for the holidays on the 21st and this is the perfect activity do to with your young ones. We will have our Touch Tanks and other activities from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Special presentations happening at 11am in French and at 1pm in English.

The museum is also hosting fishy crafts, a nautical treasure hunt and bilingual screenings of Finding Dory. All activities are included as part of regular museum admission.
Tune into CTV Morning Live at  8:40am on Tuesday, Dec. 20th to hear more about this fun day (and see our ocean creatures make their first TV appearance)!

We hope to see you on Thursday!

Thank you to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 for asking us to partner with them for this event.

Past Event:
100 Kids Who Care Halifax Presentation

On December 7th, we attended the final meeting of the year of 100 Kids Who Care Halifax. We were there to thank the group for choosing Back to the Sea Society as their non-profit of choice at the September meeting.

We of course had to bring some friends along - everyone loved touching the sea stars and discovering how rugged they are and seeing their little tube feet move around!

Thanks again to all of those who participated back in September for the donation and to Grace for nominating us. If you have a child between the ages of 5 and 14, we highly recommend you check out 100 Kids Who Care Halifax

The Giving Season: Back to the Sea's Wishlist

If you have some used items lying around your home, we'll be happy to take them off your hands!

There are a number of items we need to make the proposed Back to the Sea Aquarium a reality and improve our current programming. We welcome all new and used items from our Wishlist below.

Have something else you're looking to get rid of? Contact us and we'll let you know if it's something we could use!
This Holiday Season, consider donating to the Back to the Sea Society. By doing so, you will be contributing to ocean education and conservation!

Your help will support future programming, for example, events similar to our Touch Tank Days. Donations will also make our proposed Back to the Sea Aquarium a reality.
