Wednesdays // 5104 York Road // 3-6pm
Y'all, we made it.  It's officially summertime.  This week at market: corn, tomatoes, crabs, and PEACHES!

We're excited and grateful to spend another summer afternoon with you.  Check out all the amazing things happening this afternoon below.  Bring a friend and see you at market!

Market Movie Night!
Thanks to the families who joined us last Wednesday for our annual attempt at a movie night!  Stay tuned for a date later in the season when the sun sets earlier to re-watch "Raya and the Last Dragon." Our movie night have a habit of being scheduled during thunderstorms, but that doesn't mean we won't try again.

We had fun while we could thanks to dinner from Taco Loco, snowballs from Kona Ice, and popcorn from Loyola University.  Special thanks to the Community School Directors from Walter P. Carter and Guilford EMS who helped to make it happen and the cleanup crew who got soaked!
Live Music: Superior Cling
Back this week: Superior Cling jazz ensemble will be joining us again for our first Wednesdays live music at market.  It's going to be a hot day, but they will keep us chilled out with classics and originals.  Follow them on Facebook and listen here
Special Activity:
Help Brighten our Barriers
If you've been to market this season, you will have noticed 1) the new colorful crosswalk leading to market and 2) our big new barriers protecting the central market area.  These are efforts at ensuring that market customers are able to safely get to and shop at market.

Tomorrow, artist Graham Coriel-Allen and his team will be on site to install new vinyl stickers on the market barriers to brighten up our space and complement the new crosswalk.  The stickers will reflect the colors and unity symbols in the "Unity Tracks" crosswalk.  This is a participatory event: tomorrow you can learn how to install the large vinyl stickers and help install them professionally on our new barriers.
How to Buy Crabs in 5 Easy Steps
If you've been to market, you'll know that the crab line gets a little wild.  If you have wondered the system, but haven't learned for yourself, here's a quick video to show you how easy it can be:
