The Eight Advisory Transformation team is delighted to present a summary of events during March.

Eight Advisory advised the Rallye Group on the disposal of Courir Group by Go Sport Group.

Our team, comprising financial and operational advisers, has supported the following tasks:

  • Financial Due Diligence: Development of a VDD (Vendor Due Diligence) report, including impacts arising from Courir Group’s separation and revised working capital. This workstream was led by our Transaction Support Partners, Shafik Hosni and Eric Demuyt.
  • Operational Due Diligence: Analysis of separation areas, including Purchasing, Finance, HR, Legal, Logistic, Master Franchise and standalone costs. This work was led by our Transformation Partner, Nicolas Cohen-Solal.
  • IT Due Diligence: Identification of separation considerations relating to applications, infrastructures and the IT organisation, including cost identification and development of a separation roadmap. This work was led by Jean-Christophe Fuzzati, Director of the Transformation Team.
  • Transaction Closing and Transition: Development of the operational plans for different functions and shared contracts ensuring minimal transaction services agreement (TSA) considerations. This work was led by Nicolas Cohen-Solal.
Finally, Eight Advisory has supported deal structuring (including sell side tax impacts, advice on the new group structuring, etc.) with support from Sophie Carles, Partner of the Valuation Team.
Cash management in media groups

The « media » industry, like other companies needs to consider cash management as part of their organizational strategy and implement appropriate approaches to cash management.

Operational due diligence

To meet the expectations of our customers, Jean Guillou joined Eight Advisory as a Partner responsible for the Operational Due Diligence, Diagnostic and Operational Transformation.

Since January 1st, the Eight Advisory Transformation team has welcomed eleven new joiners to strengthen the team. The Team is now more than sixty people.

We gathered Alain Calmé (European Camping Group), Cédric Chateau (Advent International), Eric Demuyt (Eight Advisory), Christine Jeandel (Colisée Group) and Céline Méchain (Goldman Sachs), to discuss the study led by Jean Guillou "The key success factors in an acquisition".

IT due diligence

Jean-Christophe Fuzzati joined the Transformation team in order to further develop our IT Due Diligence, IT Diagnostic and IT Transformation offering.
In situations where a business is separated to support a divestment, the rebuilding of the IT cost base (infrastructure, applications, organisation etc.) is often one of the most complex issues. However, for Jean-Christophe Fuzzati this is amongst the most interesting challenges as he works closely with clients to deliver a successful IT transformation.
