PGRC Update:  January 2018
PGRC started off 2018 by partnering with College Park parkrun for the New Years Day 5k.

Happy New Year!

It's been a challenging start to 2018 with a week of bitter cold temperatures resulting in cancellation of a few training runs. Still, many club activities went on, including our marathon training program which moved a workout or two to the gym, and the PGRC's board first meeting of the new year.

We are excited to bring you new activities for 2018 as well as continuing many PGRC traditions. 

Our drop-in weekly runs continue throughout the winter, including the walking group which is meeting indoors.

We have three winter training programs: The marathon program has started but it's not too late to join since the goal race isn't until May. We also have a 10 mile training program to get you ready for the Club Challenge in February. And our 8k program starts in March to prepare you for the Springburst 8k in April.

January 15 is our annual MLK day social run as part of our holiday run series; this year it's also a fundraiser to help bring  Girls on the Run to the county. Two days later we'll be belting out the tunes at PGRC's first Karaoke night at Half Note Lounge in Bowie.

We hope to see you this winter on the roads, at the track, on the trails, or at the karaoke bar!
