African InnovatorsQuartz Africa Series
Quartz has released its fourth annual Africa Innovators List – a series which identifies some of the most ambitious and imaginative minds on the continent. This year’s list is made up of 30 pioneers from the Arts, STEM and Entrepreneurship fields, among others. Of course we’re always happy to see ArtXLagos Founder, Tokini Peterside being given her dues!

Lagos Fashion Week returns this month with its Fashion Week Tent, welcoming buyers and enthusiasts to view the collections of both emerging and leading designers across Africa.
This year Fashion Week cements its dedication to providing incubator support for emerging talent, with the launch of ‘Fashion Focus Africa’, previously open to Nigerian talent only, the programme now accepts applications from all over the continent.

LagosLagos International Poetry Fest | 31st Oct-4th Nov
This year's LIPFest returns with the theme Wide Awake and includes 35 guests from 12 countries, 4 workshops and masterclasses (including one from Yomi Sode), 10 panel discussions, 5 evenings of readings and performances, 1 concert, 2 parties (Lagos style of course), as well as the launch of its 'poet in residence' program *breathes* Register here for the masterclass and workshops
