Food for Fines season!

Winter may be coming, but we have a lot of Fall fun still left for November.
And, it's an opportunity to help those less fortunate while clearing some fines!
Check out our calendar of events, and find out more below!

View Calendar

November 1 - 25.

Bring in 1 canned or boxed food item to clear off $1.00 worth of fines!
Here are the rules:

- Must be non-perishable and not expired
- Must be Thanksgiving themed
- Be at least 12 ounces or more
- Total fines waived cannot exceed more than $20.00
- Cannot be applied towards Interlibrary Loan related materials or fees

Adult Crafts team Evelyn and Wesly are teaming up with one of our Technical Service Librarians, Leah, to bring you The Upcycle Project!

This session will be all about how you can use t-shirts and other fabric/textile items to make Fall crafts.
Here’s what we’ll be doing, and what supplies you’ll need:

No-Sew T-shirt Bag
- T-shirt of choice (the larger the shirt, the bigger the bag)

Sock Pumpkin

- Branches/twigs to use as stem

Toilet Paper Pumpkins
- Any fabric textile of choice (t-shirt, old blouse/shirt, pillowcase, etc). You want enough for an 18” square worth of material.
- Branches/twigs to use as stem
Optional:
- Roll of toilet paper & 8-10 grocery store bags

Sewn & Gathered Pumpkin
- Any fabric textile of choice (t-shirt, old blouse/shirt, pillowcase, etc). You want enough to make a 10" x 20" rectangle worth of material (or 5" x 10" for a small pumpkin, 8" x 16" for a medium).
- Branches/twigs to use as stem
Optional:
- Hand sewing needle & thread

All other supplies needed will be provided, but we highly encourage you to bring your own scissors!

Class is Saturday, November 2.
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
Age 18+
Sign-up required, so we can gauge supplies needed!
