Get ready for all the summer fun we have in store for kids AND adults.

Start off your summer with a bang at the library's annual Kick-Off Party!
Held right outside on the Eastman Library Plaza, there will be fun foam, bounce houses, a DJ, popcorn, Kona Ice, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and lots more!

After partaking in the fun, you can head inside and register for Summer Reading Club, or learn all about our FREE activities for the six-week program.

- Super Smash Bros. Tournament, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Ages 8+.

- Story time readings in English (10:30 AM) and Spanish (11:30 AM).

- Performer Day at Maude Cobb Convention Center (100 Grand Blvd. Longview TX, 75604) at 10:30 AM.

- Movie Day. 1st showing at 10:30 AM. 2nd showing at 2:00 PM. Free Popcorn! Check calendar for movie listings.
- Family Game Night at 6:30 PM. Board game fun for families of all ages!

- Crafty Kids. Two different crafts for two age groups (0-5 & 6-12) each week. Supplies provided. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

- LEGOs. Free-for-all LEGO build for families of all ages. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Advanced Excel I & II: Advanced class on database and spreadsheet entry. Emphasis on tables, charts (Pivot) and formatting your workbooks.
June 12 & 13, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Computer Basics & Keyboarding I & II: Course for people who have never really used a computer before. Emphasis on computer accessories and their uses. Some emphasis on internet/web usage. Keyboarding (proper typing) will be explained and practiced in class.
June 18 & 20, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Basic Excel I & II: Introductory course into Microsoft Excel that focuses on database entry and formula input to make spreadsheets and workbooks.
June 25, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Computer Basics: Introductory class for those who have never used a computer before. Using computer accessories and internet/web usage emphasized.
June 26, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Word Advanced: Advanced practices in word processing. Emphasis on things like inserting images, tables, columns, and introduction to bibliography/formatting properly.
Teen SRC Intern Orientation
  • Teen interns who were selected to work with us this summer, your orientation date is on June 1,
