Teens come join us the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM to exchange book & movie recommendations, enjoy free snacks with fellow teens, and hear what's happening at the Library, and in the community!

Bring in the family to get your portrait taken with the Easter Bunny! You’ll receive a 4x6 printout to take with you. ONE PHOTO PER FAMILY. We will also post them on Facebook for you to look at or get extra copies from.

We’ll be screening the Season 2 premiere episode of the hit anime One-Punch Man!

CLOSED April 19 - 21

The library will be CLOSED April 19-21 in observance of Good Friday, and Easter. The outside drops will be CLOSED. Normal hours and operations start back on Monday, April 22.
Saturday, April 27, 1:30 PM

We’re celebrating National Poetry Month by bringing back the Longview Library Poetry Slam!
Patrons may read poetry of their own writing or written by another poet. You are also welcome to just come and enjoy listening!
A sign-up sheet will be available at the front circulation desk. Ages 13+ only. Readings will last 2-3 minutes per person. Please register for one time slot, and if time allows, you may then read another work. You could also win a free giveaway by attending or participating!

April 16 & 18, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Word Basics I & II: Introductory course into Microsoft Word that focuses on how to create, format, and use the tools needed to create a word document.
April 17, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Powerpoint: Learn how to use Microsoft Powerpoint and make slideshow presentations with graphics, text, tables, and charts.
April 24, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Word Advanced: Advanced practices in word processing using Microsoft Word. Emphasis on things like inserting images, tables, columns, and introduction to bibliography/formatting papers properly.
April 29 & 30, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Advanced Excel I & II: Advanced practices on database and spreadsheet entry in Microsoft Excel. Emphasis on tables, charts (Pivot) and formatting your workbooks.
Teen Intern Applications Due April 30
  • Teens ages 13-18 are welcome to apply. Spots are limited. Interns are required to work a 3 hour shift per week for the six week summer duration.

Seeking Musician Volunteers for Music & Movement Program
  • We're looking for musicians who would like to visit our Music & Movement class to teach the children about their instrument and play a short piece for those in attendance.
