CLASSIFICATION TOUR 2019

Entries for the 2019 Classification Tour are closing on the 1st of March.



In order for us to plan the final route the tour will be taking, we need to hear from you very soon!
We have been in contact with this year's Assessor Frank Weisskirchin and he is very much looking forward to meeting the NZWA members and their horses.

The Tour will be kicking of in Christchurch when Frank lands on Monday the 25th of March and will be heading North after a few days in the Christchurch and surrounding areas.

There are several steps to entering this Classification Tour.
 
STEP 1 -  ALL HORSES AND FOALS MUST BE REGISTERED
 
If your horses are not registered yet, you will need to ensure that this is completed before the start of March to be sure to be included in the Tour.

NB:  If you are entering a TB mare or a horse already registered with another breed society you do not need to complete this step.


 
STEP 2 – FILL OUT THE ENTRY FORM FOR THE TOUR
 
Please find below the form you need to complete to enter mares into the tour – and please be aware that all mares entering the stud book must have a DNA profile for our records – if you mare has never been DNA tested we will take a hair sample during the tour for this purpose (cost $100):

STEP 3 – ENJOY THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND WIN SOME GREAT PRIZES!!!
 
There are Champion and Reserve Champion sashes for each category: 
 
Stallion  /  Mare  /  Foal  /  Gelding / Foundation Mare / Youngstock (1 & 2yrs) / Pony / Derivative

Sheena and Dermot Ross of Sterling Warmbloods have very kindly donated 2 trophies to be awarded to the top scoring Colt and Filly foals.
 
We are very excited to continue with the two new awards from the Classification Tour last year.  These awards are proudly sponsored by Sue Fowler from Astek Stud:
 
Stallion Award - for the stallion with the highest score, taken from the three highest scoring progeny of any category, the Stallion must be in the NZWA Studbook.
 
Mare Award - for the Dam of the highest scoring individual in the Full Register, the Mare must be in the NZWA Studbook.
