Cowboys to host Storm in Mackay for NRL trial

We’ve helped the Mackay Cutters secure an NRL trial game between the NQ Cowboys and Melbourne Storm.
 
The two sides will fine-tune their final preparations for the 2019 NRL season in the clash at BB Print Stadium Mackay on Saturday, March 2.

Cyclone Saturday

We’ve updated our Emergency Action Guide just in time for this weekend’s Cyclone Saturday.
 
Copies of the revamped guide will be available at Cyclone Saturday (November 10) at Caneland Central (near Target) from 8am to 1pm.

Work starts on
city roundabout

We’ve started construction of a roundabout at the Victoria and Peel streets intersection.
 
During construction, the roads will remain open to traffic throughout the day to reduce any impact on local businesses.
 
Construction activities requiring road closures will be completed at night.

Christmas grants
boost festivities


From Sarina Range to Eungella, Bloomsbury to Koumala and everywhere in between, our Christmas grants are dolling out lashings of festive spirit across the region.
 
The grants have given our community’s festive celebrations a $10,000 boost, with 14 community groups receiving up to $750 in festive funding.

lights at Paget


Residents can now recycle their fluorescent light tubes at our Paget Waste Management Centre for free.
 
We've set-up a collection point at the Incredable Ltd Drop-Off Area.
