Is your club/organisation prepared for an emergency?
The storm season is upon us. So now is the time to develop your Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
Your BCP should contain all the information necessary to ensure that your club/organisation is able to resume critical activities in the event of a crisis. This could include a checklist to ensure you have a current contact list, back-ups of computer files, scanned copies of any important documents such as insurance policies and include a general clean-up of your premises to remove any debris.
It is also vitally important to be aware of the dangers of unsecured equipment and facilities, which can pose a threat to property and life during a high wind event. Make a plan now to ensure all your equipment and facilities are appropriately secured as part of your preparations for storm season.
