Regional Attraction Tour
WATCH THE VIDEO > Mayor Greg Williamson has been busy selling our region to a group of Brisbane and Sydney-based journalists. For about the same cost as a full-page ad in the Sydney Morning Herald, the Regional Attraction Tour’s aim was to change perceptions of our region in Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane. The journalists visited Keswick Island, Mackay Marina, the Mackay Bulk Sugar Terminal, Freckle Farm near Eton and Eungella. They also rose early to hang out with kangaroos at Cape Hillsborough at sunrise.
