City Centre comes alive for Year of Rooster

A four-hour street party this Saturday (February 4) in our City Centre will help celebrate Chinese New Year in style.

Marking the Year of the Rooster, a street party will be held on Victoria Street, between Nelson and Macalister streets, from 5pm to 9pm, with road closures in place from noon.

Activities at this free event will include traditional performances from the local Chinese Community, Tai Chi and Kung Fu demonstrations, Asian cuisine, kids’ craft and the spectacular Chinese Lion Dancers.
