Music star Brad Butcher will return to Mackay to headline entertainment at our awards ceremony at the MECC on Australia Day eve.
He and up-and-coming entertainer Oliver Carter-Beck will play at the event from 5.30pm Monday, where winners of our Australia Day Awards will be announced.
Our partnership with the Bulls Masters is hitting sixes.
The Bull Masters Country Challenge, held in Mackay late last year with support through our Invest Mackay Event Attraction Program, is returning this year and next.
We’ll also host a new Bulls Masters Country Youth Cup.

Bursaries deadline extended
We’ve extended nominations for the Rick Wood Hands On Bursary and the Jack Sturgeon Bursary until Monday, February 1.
The bursaries are designed to support and encourage young emerging artists in their chosen field.
