Registration is open for Excellence in Teaching Day, held on May 21 from 12:00 - 3:00. This year’s event will provide an opportunity to come together (virtually) to reflect on—and perhaps redefine—what “excellence” in teaching means given all that’s happened in the past year. As always, we’ll be featuring faculty in panel discussion, this time focusing on “(Re)imagining Student Learning and Engagement” and “Redefining ‘Inclusion’ when Teaching in Times of Crisis.”
Given this unusual year, we’ve decided to turn also to BC faculty to deliver the keynote -- featuring Dr. Amey Victoria Adkins-Jones, Assistant Professor in Theology and AADS, as keynote speaker, and Dr. Sylvia Sellers-García, Professor of History, as respondent. In addition, we have also organized a student panel of undergraduates who will share their reflections on learning during a pandemic and how it’s changed how they think about their own education.
