New Hope Life Center

The work is FINALLY beginning on our New Hope Life Center. The contractor, McCullagh & Scott will be in to start the demolition work within the next week. Within 3 weeks the remodeling permit will be issued from Hillsborough County and the construction will begin in full force.
Please pray for safety and productivity for our facilities staff, our leaders, the construction workers and all the trades involved in our effort to make more and better followers of Jesus Christ.
Any questions or comments please contact me: Paul Lancaster, Trustees Chair at: paul.lancaster@d1cd.com
Break out those lawn tools and enjoy the cooler weather as we work together on ‘sprucing up’ our Brandon Campus.  We will supply the mulch to spread in our flower beds and parkways as we all work together to give our church a ‘facelift’ in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Season!  Let’s make our Brandon Campus look especially appealing to our members and visitors (in spite of our on-going construction).

Our plan is to work from 8:30 am to noon on Saturday, November 17, 2018.  Please come and assist our facilities staff in honoring God through our morning efforts. Bring rakes, shovels, gloves, etc. and enjoy the fellowship!
God bless, Paul Lancaster:  Trustees Chair
We still need your help to reach our goal of 500 shoeboxes this year.

All boxes are due THIS SUNDAY!!

November Mission Emphasis

Gift of Hope

Over the month of November, we will be collecting items for Gift of Hope which provides holiday assistance and spiritual support to needy families in our area. New Hope joins with other local churches and several organizations to provide hope and tangible resources to almost 800 families.  Our church is collecting canned fruit and toys for children ages 3-5 years old.  For more info, check out the Green Send Insert on Sunday morning.

Upcoming Events

This Sunday, November 4th we will have a photographer on site during the 9:30am service to capture all of our exciting moments during our worship services.  If you prefer to not be photographed please move to the back rows of seats located to the left in the sanctuary (north side).

If you have any questions please contact Mandy New, Mandy@findnewhope.com.

Join us as we begin a new adventure in prayer. Every Monday at 9:00am the Sanctuary will be open for staff, church leaders, and all members and friends of New Hope for a time of prayer. Please join us as you are able.

New Message Series Starts November 7th at The Table

As the world grows more connected, our neighbors are closer than ever. You might not share a fence, but you can still share their burdens and joys.

How to Neighbor is a four-week series with a strong push for local missions. Each week focuses on a different aspect of how to build relationships with our neighbors and how to do good in the context of those relationships.

Join us at 6:00pm for Dinner followed by our interactive worship service at 7:00pm in Logan Hall.  Adult dinners are $3.50 and children 6th grade and under are FREE!

Remember church happens on Wednesday too!

Second Sunday Learning Lab
November 11th  - 12:15pm in S1
Looking to do something different to stretch your faith?  Are you ready for a new challenge that helps you grow to be more like Christ?  Join our Second Sunday Learning Lab!
Due to others hearing of our church’s flower ministry- the Atmospheres Designs business will randomly call me to deliver their leftover flowers from swanky events.
We agreed to deliver them to various synagogues to counteract the Pittsburgh shootings.
Not surprisingly God had a plan unbeknownst to me. My first stop off was at the Shoresh David Messianic Synagogue under the leadership of Rabbi Ron Goldberg and his Indian wife VuMu(sp.?) They both know Pastor Vicki and Richard from prior meetings and a Passover celebration.

She decided she needed to show me some of the other synagogues- and we ended getting to one - the Congregation Rodeph Shalom and their preschool. The previous night before over 900 people gathered at this location to show their support, with candles burning for each of the victims. They asked why we were giving them flowers and we were able to tell our stories. On the table were cards to be sent to Pittsburgh...so now, the New Hope UMC has a representative message of love sent their way.
