After graduating, I began working in the Archer Orthopedic Lab at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center while also pursuing a Master’s degree in Medicine, Health, and Society. During this time, I conducted research related to the social determinants of health as well as cultural and structural competency methodologies.
I am passionate about improving community health and wellness, advancing health equity, and ensuring everyone has a fair opportunity for a healthy life. When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring Nashville’s running trails, visiting local coffee shops, playing tennis, and cheering on Nashville SC and the Preds.
I have enjoyed every second of my time with NashvilleHealth - learning from great leaders like our Founder and Chairman Senator Bill Frist and CEO Mark Yancy - and am looking forward to continuing to work with you to create a healthier Nashville. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best,
Payton
