NashvilleHealth Chairman Bill Frist, M.D. recently facilitated a timely and informative virtual discussion on the initial COVID-19 vaccine rollout and future strategy for broad distribution with Tennessee Department of Health Commissioner Lisa Piercey, M.D. and MetroNashville Board of Health Chair Alex Jahangir, M.D.

Nashville Partners Increase BP Control Rate
Entering a third year of implementing collaborative blood pressure control measures, the Target:BP city-wide initiative has achieved a five percent increase in control rate among its 17 participating clinics and health systems.
Led by the American Heart Association (AHA) and NashvilleHealth, in partnership with the American Medical Association (AMA), Target:BP is working to reduce the number of citizens in Middle Tennessee who have uncontrolled high blood pressure. It's Quit Week in Tennessee
NashvilleHealth joins the Tennessee Department of Health and partners across the state in celebrating the sixth annual Tennessee Quit Week Feb. 21 - 26. The campaign seeks to inspire Tennesseans to live healthier lives by taking advantage of the state’s free Tennessee Tobacco QuitLine, 1-800- QUIT-NOW, to stop using tobacco products. Tracking COVID in Tennessee
Each day, the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) releases figures tracking the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in each county and statewide. In an effort to raise awareness about these figures and understand how infection rates are changing, NashvilleHealth shares tracking updates and insights based on TDH data.
