National Public Health Week
It's National Public Health Week, and we want to thank all public health professionals for protecting and bettering our communities every day, especially now. The COVID-19 pandemic and our response illustrates the critical importance of public health infrastructure, preparedness and funding. Partnering to Win the Battle
The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted many unique partnerships in our community. Alliances that are educating and supporting Nashvillians of all ages, advancing ideas and research, and championing business. Organizations and individuals are working together in innovative ways for the betterment of our city during this unprecedented crisis. Here are a few of the collaborations making us Nashville Strong.
- Metro Nashville Public Schools and Nashville Public Television have partnered to broadcast eight hours of “At Home Learning” programming for students and children each weekday.
- Nashville celebrities have teamed up with the state of Tennessee to launch the "Do Your Part, Stay Apart" PSA campaign aimed at encouraging Tennesseans to practice recommended protocols to avoid transmission of COVID-19.
- With help from the Metro Nashville Police Department and Amerigroup, Nashville General Hospital's Food Pharmacy is delivering nutritional food totes with up to five days of shelf-stable and fresh produce, low salt and low-fat meals.
- In partnership with Metro Schools and Second Harvest Food Bank, YMCA Camp Widjiwagan is preparing and distributing more than 1,700 meals each weekday to kids in need and their families for as long as school is out.

Nashville Response Fund Update
Many Nashville families are experiencing lost wages and, or illness as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chaired by NashvilleHealth Founder Bill Frist, M.D., and housed at the United Way of Greater Nashville, Nashville's COVID-19 Response Fund is working quickly to address the health and economic challenges in our community.

Tracking COVID in Tennessee
Each day, the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) releases figures tracking the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in each county and statewide. In an effort to raise awareness about these figures and understand how infection rates are changing, NashvilleHealth shares tracking updates and insights based on TDH data.
