AR3T Principal Investigators, Dr. Thomas Rando and Dr. Michael Boninger, make national headlines!
      
Dr. Thomas Rando was just elected to the National Academy of Medicine. This is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service. Congratulations! 
  
Dr. Michael Boninger gave a presentation at the White House Frontiers Conference Oct. 13 in Pittsburgh, where President Obama fist-bumped an individual with tetraplegia who was using a neuroprosthetic device as part of a study led by Dr. Boninger and his team of researchers at the University of Pittsburgh.  
The Fifth Annual Symposium Is A Wrap
Thank you to Emory University, as well as to the speakers and attendees at the 5th Annual Symposium on Regenerative Rehabilitation, for making it a success!  Feedback from attendees included: "Excellent programming", "High quality speakers", "Diverse environments for knowledge exchange", and "I found it very important to have these 2 large professions spend quality time together..it was awesome!"

AR3T is supporting pilot projects that propose creative, interdisciplinary research in the field of Regenerative Rehabilitation.  Up to $150,000 will be distributed during the 2017 funding cycle.

The International Consortium for Regenerative Rehabilitation will host a pre-conference workshop at TERMIS-AM highlighting mechanobiological principles that guide the development of rehabilitation approaches, and how mechanical stimulation, via exercise, has the potential for enhancing functional outcomes of tissue engineering therapies.  Join us in San Diego on Dec. 11, 2016, from 11-4 p.m. for this pre-conference workshop.
