We are very excited to once again offer onsite programming starting June 25, 2020 with registration open for many of the programs. These programs will still honor public health guidelines with limited capacity in our programs. Please check our website for a variety of programs being offered for Early Childhood, Caregiver Support, and Child and Youth.

In addition to our onsite programming we are also offering a variety of online programming being offered through ZOOM sessions and our NEW YouTube Channel which offers families the opportunity to enjoy a number of our programs from the comfort of their homes!

Summer Camps



Family Futures Resource Network is proud to once again offer 4 and 5 day Summer Camps. Be sure to check out our webpage for all the great themes being offered.

Preschool Camps

Children aged 3-5 (MUST be potty-trained) are welcome to participate in our awesome half-day Pre-School Summer Camps which will take place out of our Millbourne location situated in south-east Edmonton. In each camp we will explore a different theme while incorporating our Kids with Confidence social skills curriculum. The program emphasizes social development, including sharing, problem solving, and coping with feelings. Children will participate in developmentally appropriate, fun, and interactive activities. Children must bring their own healthy snacks (nut-free) from home.

Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Free before camp care is available from 8:30 – 9am & after camp care from 11:30 a.m. –12 p.m.

PreSchool Summer Camp (Ages 3-5)

Children's Summer Camp

This summer we will be hosting a wide range of interactive, week-long summer camps for children ages 6-12 at two agency locations, Summerside in the south-east and Westbrook in the south-west. All camps include aspects of the Kids with Confidence Social Skills Curriculum to encourage the development of social-emotional skills. Children will learn important life skills and make lifelong connections through fun and challenging activities, games and socializing. Camp leaders will create an engaging and supportive environment that will help children to build self-esteem and relationships with others.

Free before and after-camp care is available from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Children must bring their own (nut free) lunch and snacks from home.

Kids Day Out!

For the first time EVER we will be hosting a “Kids Day Out” for children ages 6-12! These registered programs will run on Wednesdays starting July 22, 2020 to August 26, 2020. Register for one or register for all!

We know that COVID-19 has made life difficult for families and this is one way we are hoping to help provide joy and social interaction for the children and families in our community. These days out will have a variety of fun outdoor and indoor activities including movement, creativity, self-expression, exploration and so much more. We will provide children with some fun time out and support them to develop their social and emotional skills. Any day will be fun and engaging, so choose the Wednesday that works best for you 

Children must bring their own lunch and healthy snacks (nut-free) from home.
Summer Play Mobs In the Park
Come join our play mobsters for some fun at the park or a local green space.  We’ll bring the bubbles, chalk, parachute and other fun activities for the family.  Feel free to stay the whole time or just stop by for a quick visit and play!  Look for our Family Futures Flags at the parks to find us!   Outdoor Gathering guidelines for Covid-19 will be in place. Programs will run as scheduled unless something unforeseen happens such as pouring rain.  Please check the website  before coming out, if you want to be sure we are there, as the weather can be different from one side of the street to another some days.

Volunteer Opportunity  

Family Futures Resource Network (Agency) is seeking applicants for the volunteer position of Treasurer of the Board of Directors. The Board is a Policy Governing Board that sets policy and delegates policy implementation to the Executive Director-which means that the Treasurer is not involved with the day to day accounting activities of the Agency. The Board meets monthly except for the month of August and the Treasurer spends approximately 8-10 hours per month on the requirements of the position.

Candidates are expected to have a sound understanding of accounting principles with preference given to those with a professional accounting designation or college degree/certificate. Knowledge of accounting practices in Not for Profit organizations would be an asset. To apply for this volunteer board position please send your resume to

Treasurer responsibilities include:
  • Takes a lead role in the development of Financial Policies and ensures that Financial Operating Policies are current.
  • Reviews the annual budget as prepared by the Executive Director and presents to the Board on a timely basis for approval.
  • Presents Financial Reports to the Board on a monthly basis.
  • Reviews Audited Annual Financial Statements and presents to the Board for approval.
  • Presents the Audited Financial Statements to the membership at the Annual General Meeting.
  • Ensures that audit recommendations are addressed by the Board.
  • Reviews and signs Financial Statements for core funders.
  • Membership on the Executive Committee.
  • Acts as a signing authority for cheques and other documents.
  • Chairs the Finance Committee.
  • Orients the new Treasurer.
  • Follows all of the general duties of a Member-at –Large.
