What's Happening on the Farm

Hello everyone!

In my newsletter from last March, I wrote that March tends to be the "lull before the storm" month. Not so this year! Due to an unfortunate event where our bucks escaped on a particularly windy day last fall (the wind knocked down their fencing), our kidding season starts, well, NOW! We have a few due at the end of February, and several due mid March. Things are going to get pretty exciting around here!  *I wrote this newsletter at the end of February, and now that I'm about to release it we've had 10 kids born!! Check out our Facebook or Instagram for pictures!!!**
Further along in this newsletter, you'll hear that we are expanding our creamery this spring! In order to do so, we are applying for a Kiva Loan. This is a 0% interest loan for us, and people who contribute to the loan are FULLY REPAID within 3 years. I need 15 people I know to contribute to the loan before it can go public. I posted the link last night, and we already have 8 private contributions! If you'd like to contribute, follow this link:  We very much appreciate your support!
Winter News! We *were* having a very quiet and mild winter until February hit. With a few snow storms, and a crazy blizzard, we ended up with 3+ feet of snow over a few short days. The goats were not pleased. It took a lot of shoveling and warm water buckets, but everyone was snug and cozy during the storms (except for me and Jon). At the time of this writing, it is currently 45 degrees out and  the snow is melting- we are feeling ready for spring!
*NEW* Goat Dairy Credit Share! We are very excited to announce that we are starting a Goat Dairy Credit Share. This means you prepay for an account with us, and you draw against it anytime you want during the season. Why would you want to do that? For one, you can pick up items at our farm and farmers markets without having to bring cash, and the best part is it SAVES YOU MONEY! Depending on the share, you get 10-12% savings. We have 2 share options:
- "Nigerian Dwarf" AKA the Small Share.  Pay $100 and start with a $110 balance.(10% savings)

-"Nubian" AKA the Large Share. Pay $200 and start with a $225 balance (12% savings)

What is included in the share, you may ask? Anything we are currently making. Raw milk, goat milk yogurt, goat milk caramel sauce, and goat milk soap are all included. We also have some amazing new products in the pipeline. They will remain a suprise until the next newsletter, but I can say that there will be some CHEESE involved! We will also be making special cheeses from time to time that will only be available on farm and for our goat dairy credit share members.

Would you like to buy a share? DO you have more questions? We have more information on our website, or feel free to shoot me an email or call., (541) 729-5769. We would like to have all shares purchased before MAY 1, 2017.
Creamery Expansion We are very excited to announce that we are expanding our creamery! Our current creamery is way too small to accommodate the new products we wish to start making this season. We are so excited! If you'd like to support the expansion, we currently have a 20% off coupon valid on our Easy shop- use coupon code "CreameryExpansion."
New Products  Like I said earlier, we have a few awesome new products we plan to release this spring. Stay tuned!!!
That's all for now! Spring is right around the corner. Get in touch if you need soap or cajeta!
