LETTER FROM OUR DIRECTORS

BIG NEWS!

Due to the overwhelming generosity of our Angel Donors, we have officially purchased a 7500 sq.ft. building at 28 S. South Franklin Street, former home of the Nyack Elks Lodge, in the heart of downtown Nyack. Steps away from public transportation, shops, restaurants, and all of the beauty Nyack has to offer, the Pride Center will be a cornerstone of LGBT affirmation and inclusivity in Rockland County.  A safe place for all youth, adults, seniors, and families to gather, find support, make new friends, access resources, and feel at home -- the Rockland County Pride Center is the anchor of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community.  Never has #CommunityPride365 been so meaningful.

We have begun our Capital Campaign to renovate the building; if you are interested in being part of turning this three-story building into a home, please let us know. In the meantime, our support groups won't skip a beat, some of which meet at our sister organization, Nyack Center, where they will remain until we open our doors. (Thank you, Nyack Center!)  Social events, educational programs, and fundraisers have been scheduled.  You can visit www.rocklandpridecenter.org to keep updated!

The establishment of the Rockland County Pride Center is an incredible moment in social justice history and would not be possible without the support of visionary Board leadership, over 175+ generous donors, and the huge hearts of our extended family at Better Homes and Gardens Rand Commercial Realty. There is no doubt Rocklanders have made it clear -- equality and justice for all - with no exceptions.

Thank you again for your continued support, encouragement, and generosity.  We look forward to making history together!

With Pride,

Brooke Malloy                    Diana Wilkins
