Are you looking for something different in secondary education?
An education that will support students to flourish, to question their own place in the world, to be creative, to grow up as kind, caring, compassionate citizens wanting to make a difference and to leave school with excellent academic results?
An education that will nurture mental health and well-being?
A school rooted in the natural environment and the local community whilst exploring real-world global issues?

Our vision is for a secondary school which delivers academic excellence and fulfilment of students’ ambitions through creative learning rooted in the natural environment. The Dart School is based upon the values of community, empowerment, empathy, competency, attentiveness and responsibility – all of which underpin our pedagogical approach and curriculum and additionally inform the ethos of the school. We present two distinct elements of our vision which run through all aspects of our curriculum:
1. Academic Challenge: Challenging students to achieve academic excellence while nurturing self-confidence and an ability to make a wide range of meaningful life choices.
2. Empowered Citizens: Developing caring, compassionate, connected citizens who are empowered to make a difference in their local community as well as in the wider world.
Interconnected Learners: Delivering real-world, cross-curricular, authentic, creative, project learning. Connecting students to, and learning from, the natural world and the local community.
