Here's what's happening at Nativity.

Lent is Here!

Along with Christ himself, we've entered the desert of Lent in order to purify ourselves for 40 days leading up to the celebration of the Holy Triduum. It's not too late to commit to self-mastery, self-giving, and self-transformation.
What is God asking of you this Lent?

God & Science Study

On Thursday evenings during Lent, Nativity parishioner Dr. Chris Edge will facilitate a series on science and the existence of God developed by Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J. God and Science: From Nothing to Cosmos starts tonight at 7:30pm in the Lannan Parish Center Conference Room, and all are welcome, believers and skeptics alike.

St. Katharine Drexel

Tomorrow we celebrate the feast of Saint Katharine Drexel (pictured above left), who was a wife and mother and later a religious foundress, caregiver, and ultimately the first U.S.-born citizen to be canonized. St. Katharine, pray for us, that we may imitate your inexhaustible self-sacrifice. Amen!

Concerts at Nativity

Join us in the church for two choral concerts this Lent:

Sunday's Readings

In Sunday's readings, God creates Adam and Eve and they promptly sin against him, with the help of Satan and his temptations. St. Paul explains how salvation will come through one man, Jesus, just like condemnation came through one man, Adam. And in Matthew's Gospel, Jesus is in the desert and does what Adam and Eve failed to do: resist Satan and his empty promises.

Catholics at the Capitol

Join us for a day of inspiration and advocacy in St. Paul! Head downtown for a morning of learning the Christian's role in public affairs, then over to the Capitol to meet with representatives. This event is sponsored by the Minnesota Catholic Conference, the advocacy arm of the local Catholic bishops.
