Here's what's happening at Nativity.

Morning of Reflection

What is the significance of Jesus giving his mother to us from the Cross? How did his mother’s presence at the cross give Jesus comfort and courage? Join us Saturday at the Lenten Morning of Reflection for answers!

St. John of God

Today we celebrate the feast of St. John of God (pictured above left), a Renaissance era Portuguese soldier who founded a religious community to serve the poor and sick, particularly those with mental illness.
O God, who filled Saint John of God with a spirit of compassion, grant we pray that, giving ourselves to works of charity, we may merit to be found among the elect in your Kingdom. Amen!

Annie, Jr.

All are invited to this year’s 7th and 8th grade production of Annie, Jr.! The students have worked hard and are eager to put on a spectacular show for your enjoyment. Show times are tomorrow at 7pm, Saturday at 6:30pm and Sunday at 1pm. All performances will be in the Nativity School Auditorium.

Volunteers Needed

Nativity of Our Lord’s next turn to host the Highland Leisure Age is Wednesday at Gloria Dei. We are in need of two volunteers to help set up, serve lunch, and clean up from 11:30-1pm. We are also looking for a group of six to lead this ministry for Nativity 3-4 times a year. Thank you!

Men's Conference

Men: join Archbishop Hebda and fellow parishioners for "Building Christian Fathers" at the Archdiocesan Men's Conference at Saint Thomas Academy this Saturday!

Sunday's Readings

In the First Reading from 2 Chronicles, the people of God are shown to have turned away from God and faced exile, only for God to show mercy on them. St. Paul explains to the Ephesians that "even when we were dead in our transgressions" God sent Jesus to redeem us (Eph 2:5). As St. John would put it, "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son" that we might have eternal life (Jn 3:16).
