Here's what's happening at Nativity.

Happy Ascension...Sunday

Traditionally, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord 40 days after Easter, which would be today. Instead, the feast has been permanently moved (locally) to the following Sunday, which this year falls on May 8. Happy feast!

Happy Mothers' Day!

May God continue to bless all of our biological and spiritual mothers, and may Mary, Mother of God, be their guide, amen.

Sunday's Readings

Like any high feast day, the mass readings for Sunday follow the day's common theme. As such, both the First Reading from Acts of the Apostles and the Gospel detail the Ascension event from St. Luke's perspective, while the two Second Reading options explore the theology of Jesus with the Ascension in mind.

First Friday Fellowship

All are invited to a time of coffee, donuts, and fellowship immediately following the 8:15am mass tomorrow, sponsored by the NCCW.

Mothers' Day Rose Sale

There will again be long-stemmed roses for sale for $5/each after all morning masses this Sunday, with all proceeds benefiting Birthright.
