The mission of Harmony Bridge is to expand
independent musicianship and develop character-building skills by connecting students to the elderly population
through small ensemble performances.

Harmony Bridge has impacted our program in a way I never imagined possible. In the past three years, students from
6th - 12th grade have formed ensembles, they are directing themselves, and going out into the community to perform. They are talking to their audiences and learning to entertain. I'm seeing significant growth in their musicianship, leadership skills, public speaking and perhaps most powerfully, their social skills. They are developing compassion and a sincere caring for our senior population. And this is happening from 6th grade on up! I honestly can't imagine our program
without Harmony Bridge.

Clearly, there are expenses involved in bringing Harmony Bridge to your community — to cover the cost of the Harmony Bridge library and the 3 days of on-site training to help ensure the longevity and success of the program. Seeking community support is the key — not only to cover the finances but to involve the community in the project itself.  Harmony Bridge has a widespread impact in the community — for the students, the band program, the school, the school district, the senior population, and the sponsors.  Everyone wins.

Those presently doing Harmony Bridge have received funding from:

*School Foundation or Community Foundation grants
*Service Clubs (e.g. Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis)
      *Corporate Sponsors
      *School textbook funds

Just this past week we received this comment from one of our new school directors:        "If you ever need me to give a testimonial about how easy the fundraising is for Harmony Bridge, I will be HAPPY to do that!  I never would have believed this."

The Harmony Bridge library consists of custom arrangements of Trios, Quartets, and Quintets —
all with percussion. The songs are classics — mostly American folk tunes.  Instrumentation is flexible and there
is a book for all ages and levels. They are fun to listen to
and fun to play! The Harmony Bridge repertoire can
also supplement standard band repertoire
— particularly for younger bands.
If you are a band director, we would love to visit
with you about the possibility of bringing Harmony
Bridge to your school and community. Please

The Harmony Bridge program was founded by Michael Levine, a graduate of The Juilliard School, who for 32 years has led the internationally acclaimed Dallas Brass on tours throughout the United States, Europe, Russia and the Far East. Harmony Bridge is an extension of Dallas Brass’ mission to connect generations and bring joy to people through music.
