Our top reasons to choose Sète
for your luxury summer vacation this year!
Sète is the most fascinating small town on the French Mediterranean coast, it is all-but an island. With the sea on one side and the Thau Lagoon on the other. Thau Lagooon is a vast expanse of salt water, colonised by oyster- and mussel-beds. Between the sea and the lagoon, a network of canals brings a hive of activity right into the town centre, just a 5 minute drive from our two beautiful beach front villas.

‘The Little Venice of the Languedoc’ has retained its authenticity as a thriving fishing port, which remains the main focus of this wonderful town.

Our Villas:

Both Villa Frankie and Villa Freya are situated right on the edge of a beautiful, natural, unspoilt sandy beach with crystal clear waters and is just a 5 minute drive from Sete’s town centre. Situated with a beachfront view in a very child friendly area.
Villa Frankie & Villa Freya

Both villas sleep up to 8 people across 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, a plasma television, DVD player and Bose iPod docking station. With master bedrooms which overlook the beach and sea beyond, and a fifth en-suite double bedroom in the basement that can take the villa's occupancy comfortably to 10 people.

The villas boasts light and airy open plan living areas fitted out with designer furniture. The kitchens are fully equipped with modern appliances and utensils and there are plasma television, DVD library and sound systems in the lounge and dining room. Both Villa Frankie and Villa Freya also boasts a gym and sauna.

The Weather:

Sunshine and a lot of it is the best way to describe the weather in Sète! The region’s climate is largely Mediterranean with hot dry summers, rainy winters, and moderate springs and autumns.  With up to 300 days of sunshine per year, and temperatures ranging between 22 and 30 degrees centigrade in the summer months Sète is a perfect summer vacation destination!

The Food:

Sète is the perfect place for seafood lovers where the menus reflect the freshest catch of the day with Languedoc boasting a vibrant culinary scene. Sample one of Sète’s traditional dishes such as ‘la tielle’ – tomato and octopus pie – in one of the restaurants on the beach in front of the villas or in one of the town’s many superb fish restaurants.

Oysters - We would suggest enjoying lunch in Bouzigues, a small fishing village famous for producing the world’s best oysters in the Thau Lagoon. With the lagoon’s constant temperature, and limited tidal changes the Thau Lagoon is ideal for the breeding of mollusks, in a process that sees 150 young oysters attached to a 4-metre rope, before being lowered into the lagoon. One year later, the oysters are ready to be enjoyed!!

The Lazaret Beach (near the centre of Sete) which is named after the holiday centre ''Le Lazaret''  is a sheltered beach protected by sea walls, which makes it safe for small children to paddle in the shallow water.
