Meet the maker

Sander is one of our regular customers who likes to share his designs and ideas. And the latest is a stamp. Which we think is a very interesting concept. We usually pitch Real Flex as being impact resistant, but that usually implies something hitting the object and the object surviving. So we think it is a great out of the box idea that you print something which you use to 'hit' something with.
The stamp base is Real Filament PLA Red and the stamp part is Real Flex Blue.

Real Filament update
New product, trusted quality!

In the past years Real Filament has been producing PLA, PETG and ABS in the same format we have all come to love. High quality for a very affordable price. But Real Filament was unable to expand the production due to limitations in production capacity.That problem is now solved and it was time to upgrade! And towards the future we were promised we can expect more colors, more materials and more specialty items!

RepRapWorld view on the new products

Real Filament is a close friend of RepRapWorld. We have the experience and market information about 3D Printing and they have the skills to produce high quality filament. The offering was limited mainly to PLA, PETG and ABS. With some variants like Satin and Real Flex. But production was limited and even though we got feedback from end-users asking us for more colors, other materials like Nylon, Real Filament was not able to provide. Especially since the PLA, PETG and ABS products were so popular and we had frequent backorders.
But towards the end of last year the news came that Real Filament would be moving and the production capacity would increase. That was for us the time to feedback a lot of end-user information towards Real Filament and re-invent the entire product.
They already developed and were offered new compounds of the base materials (like PLA, PETG) which are much more 3D Printing compatible. Allowing you to print smoother and faster then ever before. What RepRapWorld was involved in was the development of the new signature cardboard spool.
Not unlike the master-spool concept, we had the feeling that making the biggest waste component in 3D Printing more Ecofriendly would benefit all of us. After several tests and failures the quality of the cardboard is now of such a high quality you will not experience a difference in use. But you will be able to recycle this item.
So all in all, we are extremely happy that the new Real Filament products are a improvement on what was previously there. And are happy to announce that we have already begun shipping these products!!!
