Canada’s standardization network: A strong economic future built on standards

Standards are the underpinning of our society, our quality of life, and our economy. It is critical that standardization opportunities be leveraged fully in order for Canada to reach its full economic potential. SCC is actively collaborating with our accredited organizations, government and industry partners to advance standardization strategies for innovation, intellectual property, infrastructure, the environment, and trade. We work hand-in-hand through our network with cutting-edge companies to create advantages that give them a competitive edge. In her keynote speech, SCC CEO, Chantal Guay, will highlight how SCC is transforming to ensure traditional and emerging sectors stand to benefit from standardization—sectors such as clean technology, agri-food, health and bio sciences, digital industries, resources of the future, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence and big data.
