There are a number of transport policies being presented to Cabinet in May.
The first of these is the Transport Local Implementation Plan (LIP) which is the main transport policies and programme document which the Council are required to prepare under the Greater London Authority (GLA) Act in order to show how Harrow will deliver the new London Mayor’s Transport Strategy (MTS) published in 2018.
The LIP has been subject to extensive consultation last year and is now being presented to Cabinet for a final endorsement before being adopted by Council in July.
There are also supporting strategies being presented to Cabinet which expand on key themes in the LIP/MTS. These are the Road Safety Strategy and the Walking, Cycling & Sustainable Transport Strategy which address key priorities of the London Mayor – Vision Zero and Healthy Streets.
