Everybody wants to go to Iceland!
Everybody wants to go to Iceland!  We’ve been so pleased to see how Iceland’s EURO 2016 success has made it even more of a must-do holiday location, although here at Iceland Traveller, we have known this for some time. Whenever we meet people, it’s nearly always their first reaction to say: “Ooh, Iceland, it’s on my list, when’s a good time to go?”
Iceland is an all year round destination, and there are many ways to explore its beauty and variety. Travelling in your own small group is an excellent way to combine the freedom to choose what you do with the expert guidance of a private driver guide. For book clubs, craft lovers, hikers, birthday treats…at any time of year, for 6-8 people or more, just let us know your interests and leave the rest to us.
“Couldn’t have asked for more....”  We love our feedback and are keen to share it! Customers from further and further afield are finding Iceland Traveller and are recommending us to their friends. Read more ...
Not just the Northern Lights.
We have gathered together a fantastic collection of holidays, short breaks, day and evening tours that include hunting the Aurora in Iceland this winter.  The season starts in mid September and we are already taking bookings for late Autumn as well as for Christmas and New Year. The season continues until early April when often there is more snow around, for an even more atmospheric experience!  Follow the links here or go to here and pick Northern Lights from the menu bar.

Westfjords here we come!
We are always researching new and unusual places, activities and tours to offer to Iceland Traveller customers. We really enjoy doing this, and also know that this is one of the reasons why people recommend us.   Any day now, we are off to West Iceland for a week of visits to out-of-the-way places and for  photography and filming. With a lengthy list, we will need long days and will  be making the most of Iceland’s summer midnight sun!  Read more..
September sightseeing: lakes, waterfalls, whale watching and Northern Lights
Join Iceland Traveller for an autumn break to look for the Northern Lights and to see some of the North East region’s most remote and least visited landscapes. From Husavik, we follow rugged coastlines lying on the edge of the Arctic Circle, visit Dettifoss and Goðafoss waterfalls, Lake Mývatn, Ásbyrgi canyon, and the stunning bird colonies on the Langanes peninsula.  With the skills and knowledge of an experienced guide and in a small group, this is an excellent way to enjoy a wild part of Iceland, see more and not worry about any of the arrangements.  Food Lovers could choose to add extra days and visit the Akureyri Food Festival.  For those keen to get out and explore, Nordic walking is available, and there will be plenty of time to stop for photographs.  Read more…
