Dear Supporters,
In these uncertain times, there are many pet shelters throughout the world grappling with virus worries, though, as we balance the need to protect our staff, keep people employed, and take care of the fur population we serve.
We remain a working home for stray, sick and unwanted dogs and cats, but are limiting the number of visitors to keep our staff healthy.
While our visitor/volunteer policy has changed temporarily, the dogs and cats housed will continue to receive the walk and attention they normally receive. We will still investigate cruelty and neglect cases as needed.

We are already feeling the impacts of the novel coronavirus, as we are already struggling to find our usual cleaning product, gloves, etc, and these products are critical for our shelter.
To protect our amazing shop volunteers, it was decided to temporarily close our Charity Shop, our main source of income, and for that reason, we are pleading that you do not forget to make donations.
Remember we have animals that have medical needs, we still need to buy medication. We will be taking a hit if we lose our donations, this will impact the health of our animals and our ability to take care of them.

We would like to request the following,
*  Do not bring the whole family to view our animals for adoption, a limit of 2 people at a time.
* When visiting our shelter please adhere to the notices set up at the main gate.
*  If you feel sick, do not come to the shelter.
Staff is already working hard to sanitize the facilities and do regular deep cleanings to keep us all safe.
*  If you are able to make a monetary donation or donate a bag of dog/cat food please do so by EFT or by dropping food at Super Spar, Pet and Pool or our kennels.
Useable household goods can be dropped at our kennels. We will also gladly collect on request - please phone our office on 044 384 1603 to make arrangements.

We thank you for your ongoing support, we know this is going to be a difficult time for all of us.  Stay safe, stay at home if possible, and love your fur friend, as they are the lucky once that have the privilege to have more time with you.

Pawfully yours

Kaws team
