Good afternoon BraveHearts friend & supporter,
This coming Sunday (5th March) one of our BraveHearts volunteers, David, is once again throwing on his trainers and running vest in an attempt to fundraise for the construction of a new covered outdoor sensory play area for the children and young people at the BraveHearts Program.
Since running his first half marathon in aid of BraveHearts in December 2016 (you may have read about this in our last BraveHearts newsletter), David has been training hard to prepare himself for the challenge of the Sihanoukville half marathon this Sunday, in temperatures exceeding 36C/97F and on a course full of hills!
Please click on the link below to see the stunning ‘lotus flower’ design of the sensory play area created by the Building Trust International for BraveHearts …
We are hoping to raise enough funds to get the structure built at the start of May 2017, before the rainy season arrives in Cambodia. This will create an outdoor area for all the children to access throughout the year, which will actively stimulate their senses.
Thank you for your continued support with the BraveHearts Program.
