Funky Ferndale, fall rush & fresh coffee show

Jevona Fudge Watson knew she wanted youth art in the Detroit coffee shop she was creating called Detroit Sip. When a few groups failed to jump, she contacted Mint Artists - and we hopped in.
Mint's work went up in mid-September and Detroit Sip is expected to open in a couple of weeks at 7420 W. McNichols. Most Mint work is for sale.
Please donate today!
Mint relies on volunteers for everything we do. The organization has started a marketing / communications team and soon will launch a finance / fundraising team. Join via our posting on VolunteerMatch  or send an email to mintartistsguild@gmail.com to offer to help in other areas.

Thank you kindly!

Mint Artists Guild thanks Mark Loeb, board member, for hanging the Paint Detroit with Generosity exhibit and for climbing the ladder and putting up most of the work at Detroit Sip too.
Austen Brantley studio fundraiser
Austen Brantley is barely into his 20s yet he has more than five years experience in art fairs. He knows the importance of mentoring and support, so he's supporting Mint Artists with a studio fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 14.  Tickets cost $20 for most; or $10 for students and starving artists and include light refreshments and some surprises. Buy them online at BrownPaperTickets.

Funky Ferndale & fall's finery

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Mint Artists will show and sell at its final art fair of the season: the Funky Ferndale Art Fair.
We present seven emerging artists selling paintings, jewelry and photography.  And artist Espacia Marie Fotiu is going solo, with a little support from fellow Mint board member Mark Loeb, who organizes Funky Ferndale.
Artists will live paint during the fair, as did Eleanor Olson (pictured) last year.
Then for fall, Mint Artists move indoors - to coffee shops, indoor art events and our Mint Artists Gallery, opening in November. We hope to return to Noel Night in Midtown Detroit and may pop up at Tech Town and elsewhere too.
Watch our Facebook page,  blog and other social media for details.
Mint is developing new workshops for our young artists this fall and winter, including one on working with a gallery, professionally, successfully. If you know a teen visual artist who may belong in Mint's learn and earn program, ask him or her to apply here by Oct. 4.

Oct. 4 - Final day for teens to apply for fall / winter learn and earn program.
