When the Lord planted the garden in Eden and placed Adam and Eve in it, His purpose was that the glory that was there would penetrate and permeate the entire earth, that the earth would be filled with His glory. His glory came and went through the years. When He came to Bethlehem, the glory of God came again. Jesus came so the glory of God would return to man and there would be a second opportunity to invade the earth with His glory.
So how are you moving forward? Do you find yourself pulling back when the Lord says “go forward”? Ask the Lord for His glory to invade your life in a new way this Season. This is a day to advance, not to pull back, a day to be empowered with a new type of spiritual jet fuel.
A Word of Encouragement: “The Lord is gathering and mobilising angels of breakthrough on your behalf and even though the enemy has surrounded you these angels of breakthrough are coming as forerunners of a glory invasion. There is a glory invasion from heaven that is aligning with earth and I say, My glory in you is beginning to stir. How you see My glory and how you allow My glory to mould and shape you, will be key to your future. I say, the angel hosts of breakthrough of my glory are now mobilised and you will be reshaped and remoulded … Breakthrough is coming to unlock the glory in you. There are gifts in you that have been placed there for a time such as this.” (Prophetic word given by Chuck Pierce, Glory of Zion, Sunday gathering 18th December).

WORD FROM JERUSALEM

Hanukah this year is from the evening of Saturday December 24 until the evening of Sunday January 1.
Hanukkah is a Hebrew word meaning ‘dedication’. It is used in II Chron. 7:9 when Solomon dedicated the star for the First Temple. The eight-day Jewish celebration bearing that name remembers the re-dedication of the ‘second’ temple in Jerusalem after it had been recovered by the Jewish forces of Yehudi Maccabee in 164 BC. The Syrian king Antiochus IV Epiphanies (a forerunner of the Anti-Christ, and foretold in Daniel 11:21) sought to coerce Jews into abandoning their religion and culture for that of Greece. He had issued edicts forbidding circumcision, observance of Shabbat and Jewish feast days. He had defiled the Holy Temple by offering a pig on the altar and raising upon the Sanctuary a statue of the Greek god Zeus. As chronicled in the First Book of Maccabees (a respected historical account of Jewish history found in the Apocrypha), a revolt was launched by the priest Mattathias and later led by his son Judas Maccabee. It resulted in the defeat of the Syrian forces, after which the defiled Temple was cleansed and re-dedicated.
Another account relates how during this cleansing there was only enough sanctified oil left to burn in the Temple Menorah for one night, yet a miracle occurred and it continued burning for eight days. The victorious warrior Judas Maccabee ordained “that the days of the dedication of the altar should be kept in their season from year to year by the space of eight days, from the five and twelfth day of the month of Kislev, with mirth and gladness” (I Maccabees 4:59). The miracle has given rise to the tradition associating this holiday with oil and light (“Festival of Lights”) from the eight branched menorah, which has a new lamp ignited each evening of the festival It is also a time to eat oil-fried jelly donuts and potato pancakes!
John records how Yeshua was walking in the Temple on Solomon’s Porch during the Festival of Hanukkah in Jerusalem (John 10:22). It was during this season that He chose to speak of Himself as “The Good Shepherd” who “lays down his life for the sheep” and ”My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My father who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one” (John 10:27-30 ESV)
Part of the celebration includes the use of a special eight-branched menorah upon which a new oil lamp or candle is lit eat evening. Each light is ignited from the flame of a separate ‘branch’ called shames—“servant”. Remarkably, the Haftorah reading for the Shabbat of Hanukah is Zach 2:14-4:7. These verses include a menorah but also the following words, “Behold, I am bringing forth My Servant, the Branch.” Although a different word for servant is used here, there is no doubt that it refers to the Servant-Messiah, sent by the Father-the Light Inextinguishable, who illumines all coming into the world. (John 1:9)

Some things we can learn from this:
1. We must learn to war with our spiritual ‘family’. Maccabee is the Hebrew word for ‘hammer’. Being God’s ‘hammer’ is a corporate undertaking. Lone warriors cannot take on the enemy. The ‘hammer’ is corporate! We must war in plurality.
2. The battle is not always short. In the book of Joshua we read that he warred for many years before he received the inheritance that was promised him. We must not grow weary in battle. “Joshua made war a long time with all those kings (Joshua 11:18) “So Joshua took the whole land according to all that the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tries. Then the land rested from war” (Joshua 11:23)
3. After battles we often have to cleanse. Joshua ‘utterly destroyed’ many cities (Joshua 11:20).
2 Chronicles 31:1 “ Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah and broke the sacred pillars in pieces, cut down the wooden images, and threw down the high places and the altars —from all Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh—until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned to their own cities, every man to his possession”
4. When we celebrate Hanukkah, we not only reflect on a momentous event in history, an uprising resulting in religious freedom for the glory of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but we look on it as truly a time of a celebration of Light. The Light of the world, Jesus Christ, illuminating the world with a promise of a new life, a new beginning for all who come to Him!

Women Breaking the Mould®
Many years ago I, Brenda, was reading a book called “Satan’s New Age Lies to Women”. It started by saying Satan’s New Age Strategy was to get “the women” because “if he got the women, he got the home, if he got the home he got the family, if he got the family he got the community and if he got the community he got the nation.”
Something in me rose up and I cried out to the Lord: “Where are the women in this nation who will rise up with strength and counteract this strategy?”
At that stage, none came to mind and for the next three hours the Lord downloaded to me from Isaiah 5:24-29 the vision to “Raise up a Nationwide Army of Mighty Women”, Women Warriors, called from the end of the earth, rising with speed, and coming swiftly! None would be weary, none would stumble. Their girdles of truth would secured and their shoes of peace intact. Their arrows would be sharp and all their bows bent. Their roaring would be like that of a lioness, they would roar like young ones, full of strength and the vigour of the Lord, seizing the prey in victory!

It is women according to God’s view, co-partnering with like-minded men and the Lord to establish His presence, His Lordship, His authority, His Word and power on earth.
In this Hebraic warring year of 5777, the Lord is calling an army to come together, to be trained in battle strategies of worship and warfare, prophetic revelation and declaration. An army that knows how to partner with the angelic realm to bring the purposes of Heaven to Earth. An army of prophetic Deborah’s who ride with the Barak leaders of men. Men and women coming together to fulfil the purposes of God in their generation.

A PARTNERING WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT
How awesome it is to hear that a local city council has asked for help with the New Year’s celebrations this year to help curb the effects of drunkenness and lawlessness. A team of Kingdom People will be overlooking the festivities and will be in direct contact with police teams on the ground, praying blessing and peace over every situation.
This is an example of the partnering model between government and Kingdom minded people who can shift the spiritual atmosphere over a territory and open the heavens for a powerful release of the glory of God. May it be multiplied many times over in days to come!

Food Hamper Testimony
The Lord has blessed us with the resources and ability to supply a number of food banks, both in our schools and in the communities we serve, along with making food hampers available to those in need.
We received this report from one of our House of Zion people:
“A friend to whom we’ve been distributing food boxes to on occasions (we have a few people/families we pass them on to) said he wanted you to know that these gifts are not ‘just going to poor people’. In his case they are reaching missionaries working on the ground here in New Zealand.
The food boxes are supporting those who are “living by faith and the goodness God sends them” (that’s no exaggeration) who are dedicated, full-time people. They’re not supported by an organisational hierarchy but by what comes to them day by day. The food boxes are practically fuelling the extension of the Kingdom of God in New Zealand. The last box we passed on to them, everything in it was fitting for them. The feedback we received was that the food hamper was almost as prophetic as it was practical.
He and I hope this is of encouragement to you and the others who are involved in this distribution.”

COMING SOON - GATHERING OF THE CLANS

After successful gatherings in Ireland, Wales, USA, Canada and Scotland, Rose Sambrook from Rhema Restoration Ministries, Ireland is bringing the Gathering of the Clans to New Zealand. Rose and her husband Kevin are leaders in Belfast Northern Ireland. They have been in ministry for over twenty years and are aligned with Chuck Pierce from Glory of Zion International and Sharon Stone from Christian International Europe.
In 2013 the Lord gave Rose a vision to gather the Celtic Clans to worship and she thought it was just Ireland, Wales and Scotland. However at the first Gathering Chuck Pierce was one of the speakers and gave Rose a Menorah from Israel saying to take the sound of the Celts to seven nations. As Rose walked to her seat the Lord downloaded the seven nations and one of them was New Zealand.
New Zealand is the sixth Gathering and in early November 2017 the final Gathering will be in Israel.
The Celtic sound is within the DNA of its people all over the world and a clarion call is being sent out to all Celts to gather, unlock and release their sound.
We want to invite you to be a part of this amazing journey as we come together to awaken our sound in worship to the Lord. You don't have to have Celtic DNA to be a part of this Gathering just come and enjoy the sounds and the teaching!

To release blessing to Israel is not saying that we reject other peoples. All peoples of the world are made, loved and called by God. This is not a political statement that we agree with every decision that the Israeli or New Zealand Governments or have made or will make. We simply recognise the special covenant God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We stand with the people and land of Israel, seeking that they be blessed. We are responding to God’s call to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
