INTERESTED IN COMMUNITY ORGANIZING?

Join Maryland Traditions Thursday 8/20, 1-2pm ET for the free webinar "Place-based Organizing in West Baltimore," part of Maryland State Arts Council's ENVISION series.

As executive director of ARCH Social Community Network in West Baltimore, Denise Johnson is a community organizer developing strong relationships with constituents through dialogue and direct interaction. This webinar demonstrates Arch Social Community Network’s philosophy that place, individual experience, and community tradition are building blocks in creating a local outlet for cultural expression.

Traditional arts professionals and other cultural workers are invited to attend this session to learn how cultural traditions and fieldwork can be framed as essential components of community organizing. Free event; registration required.
