Announcing Our In-District Office Location!

I am thrilled to announce that we have finalized details for our in-district office, located in the U District Partnership building, at 4516 University Way NE. We are still getting things set up, but we can't wait to see you in our new digs starting in March!

Look for our schedule of in-district office hours coming soon and please save the date for our D4 office open house on Friday, March 4th at 4:00 pm (we're a fan of the number 4 over here, naturally). More information coming on that too, but RSVP to let us know if you can make it.

What are You Reading?

ShelfTalk, Seattle Public Library's blog, is getting to know the new City Council members by asking us about books we've read recently, books we want to read, books that have inspired us, and books we feel guilty about not finishing.

New Post on the Blog; School Capacity

My office has been focused on collaborating with leaders from the city and Seattle Public Schools to help solve issues around capacity for the 16/17 school year and beyond.

Want to Weigh in on Housing Affordability?

Consider joining a HALA Community Focus Group. The City will be seeking community input on how HALA proposals best fit into neighborhoods. Throughout 2016 and 2017, we will host neighborhood meetings, open houses, telephone town halls, and other engagement opportunities for communities to provide their input.

Applications can be found here and are due by February 26th.

Yours in civil service,
